A search is underway in South Carolina for a missing person who could be in danger.

Donte Nakia Porter Jr., also known as Raven, was publicly reported missing Tuesday by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. The 23-year-old has not been seen for days, the sheriff’s department said in a news release.

Porter was last seen at about 4:50 a.m. on Aug. 8, when leaving Brookfield Pointe Apartments and walking toward Faraway Drive, according to the release. That’s in a part of Columbia between Decker Boulevard and Richland Northeast High School.

There was no word if Porter was alone when last seen, and the sheriff’s department did not say if foul play is suspected in Porter’s disappearance. Porter left a cellphone, wallet, money and glasses behind, the sheriff’s department said.

Porter might be suffering from mental health issues and could be a danger to themselves, according to the release. Further information on Porter’s issues was not available.

The sheriff’s department described Porter as weighing 150 pounds with brown eyes and shoulder-length dreadlocks. Porter was last seen wearing a black graphic T-shirt, khaki pants as well as black Hoka shoes, and has multiple tattoos along with piercings to the lips and septum, according to the release.

Anyone who has seen Porter, or has information about the 23-year-old, is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 803-576-3000.
