David Jones.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>A 2017 Ford Fusion was driving south on Prosser Avenue, according to Jones. Near the intersection with West Foxworth Mill Road the car hit a pedestrian, Jones said.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>EMS took the pedestrian to an area hospital, where that person died, according to Jones.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The Sumter County Coroner\u2019s Office has not publicly identified the pedestrian.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>No other injuries were reported by the Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>There was no word if the driver, or anyone else in the car, was wearing a seatbelt, but the collision continues to be investigated by the Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=1177\">One person killed in crash on South Carolina road, Highway Patrol says<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Through May 31, at least 340 people had died on South Carolina roads in 2026, according to the state Department of Public Safety.
