{"id":1197,"date":"2026-06-08T20:39:31","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T20:39:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=1197"},"modified":"2026-06-08T20:39:31","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T20:39:31","slug":"new-carowinds-super-flume-aims-to-break-three-world-records-with-100-foot-drop-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=1197","title":{"rendered":"New Carowinds \u2018Super Flume\u2019 aims to break three world records with 100-foot drop"},"content":{"rendered":"<article><!-- --><!-- --><!-- WPS-5038 -- removed the script from WPS and added the placeholder for trinity player --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- CONTENT --><!--[--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Carowinds unveiled plans Monday for a new water ride designed to shatter multiple world records: a towering flume that aims to be among the tallest  when it opens in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=1196\">Magnitude 6.1 earthquake near Cuba\u2019s western side felt throughout southern Florida<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Called Rip Roarin\u2019 Falls Super Flume, the ride will have a 100-foot drop after its construction, the tallest log flume drop in the world, according to a Carowinds press release.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt combines record-setting thrills and cutting-edge ride innovation\u2014all with a 35-inch height requirement that makes it accessible for families,\u201d Carowinds President Bridgette Bywater, wrote in the press release.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Construction is currently underway and in preparation, Carowinds announced a new membership program that will run for the remainder of 2026 and some of 2027, so visitors can attend the ride\u2019s debut.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The 2026 program announced June 5 gives members access to multiple parks across the region with one pass, according to Six Flags\u2019 senior vice president of commericial Chris Meyering.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The pass would unlock access to six additional east regional Six Flags parks, including Kings Dominion near Richmond, Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags White Water near Atlanta, Six Flags Great Adventurein New Jersey, Dorney Park in Pennsylvania and Six Flags New England.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<h2>Super Flume coming in 2027<\/h2>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Reaching speeds up to 50 mph, riders will be sent forward and backward through high-speed switches that change the direction of the boat twice and send riders down two record-setting drops before the 100-foot plunge.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=1194\">New Carowinds \u2018Super Flume\u2019 aims to break three world records with 100-foot drop<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The Super Flume will be located in the Thrill Zone section of the park near Fury 325, where Rip Roarin\u2019 Falls used to be.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The ride is expected to break three world records: the tallest flume drop at 100 feet, the tallest reverse drop at 42 feet, the tallest reverse camelback at 32 feet.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>According to the press release, the Super Flume will also have elements of storytelling. Set in an abandoned lumber mill that is rumored to be haunted, riders will encounter \u201csurprise after surprise\u201d \u2014 whether it\u2019s a record-breaking drop or an unfolding mystery.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The ride\u2019s loading station is  designed to increase rider capacity and reduce wait times.
