That\u2019s in a part of Columbia between Broad River Road and I-26.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Deputies learned that the woman who was shot in the upper body was driving herself to an area hospital, according to the release. Columbia Police Department officers were able to locate the victim and her vehicle and Richland County EMS was dispatched to take her to the hospital for medical treatment, the sheirff\u2019s department said.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Further information on her condition was not available.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>No other injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The victim told deputies that she was involved in an altercation in McCary\u2019s parking lot and was shot when she tried to drive away, according to the release. Information about the cause of the altercation was not available.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The victim said an unknown female and another woman she didn\u2019t know approached her and attempted to fight her, the sheriff\u2019s department said in an incident report. She then got into her vehicle, then heard \u2014 and soon felt \u2014 the gunshots, according to the incident report.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>It was not clear if either the victim or anyone else involved in the shooting had been in the bar prior to the gunfire.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=1358\">A national restaurant is planned for this bustling Columbia road. Here\u2019s where<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>There was no word about a shooter, or shooters, and no arrests have been reported by the sheriff\u2019s department, which is continuing to investigate the gunfire.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the sheriff\u2019s department at 803-576-3000, CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>In the case of an emergency, always call 911.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>In 2019, two people were killed in a shooting at McCary\u2019s and two others were injured.
