{"id":2043,"date":"2026-06-24T06:06:23","date_gmt":"2026-06-24T06:06:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=2043"},"modified":"2026-06-24T06:06:23","modified_gmt":"2026-06-24T06:06:23","slug":"prostitution-conspiracy-harboring-an-immigrant-8-people-arrested-in-sc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=2043","title":{"rendered":"Prostitution, conspiracy, harboring an immigrant: 8 people arrested in SC"},"content":{"rendered":"<article><!-- --><!-- --><!-- WPS-5038 -- removed the script from WPS and added the placeholder for trinity player --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- CONTENT --><!--[--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Eight people have been arrested for prostitution and other charges in South Carolina following a multiagency investigation, the Lexington County Sheriff\u2019s Department announced Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=2041\">Here\u2019s who won race for Lexington 1 school board after special election<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The following individuals were arrested and charged, officials said, after an investigation conducted with the West Columbia Police Department, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the Department of Homeland Security.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Yoselyn Maybeli Colomo-Rodriguez, 33, was charged with prostitution<\/li>\n<li>Esmerelda Roblero Arreage, 32, was charged with prostitution<\/li>\n<li>Maria Jovita Ruiz-Peria, 26, was charged with prostitution<\/li>\n<li>Aurora Garcia-Mena, 27, was charged with prostitution<\/li>\n<li>Fernando Benitez-Perez, 38, was charged with prostitution and criminal conspiracy<\/li>\n<li>Romeo Jijon Altamirano, 47, was charged with prostitution and criminal conspiracy<\/li>\n<li>Cristian Fidel Gonzalez-Jijon, 22, was charged with prostitution and criminal conspiracy<\/li>\n<li>Cirenia Jijon Altamirano, 44, was charged with prostitution, criminal conspiracy and a crime related to harboring an unauthorized immigrant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Information from a separate case led investigators to locations on Edmund Highway and North Parsons Street, Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe operation started Thursday morning when investigators searched multiple houses where prostitution was suspected,\u201d Koon said.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>According to a news release, a man at the respective houses would collect money from people in exchange for having sex with the women.
