No cause of death was announced, but police said they searched for shell casings and weapons on the property where Williams\u2019 body was found in the front yard, WLTX reported in 2025.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>An \u201cextensive, yearlong investigation\u201d followed, culminating with Spells arrest following a search of a Chesnut Street home, police said. Information about what, if anything, was found that led to the charge was not available.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Tuesday\u2019s search was the most recent of multiple searches executed during the investigation, that included numerous interviews and analysis of forensic evidence conducted by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=2498\">Down a man late, US holds strong for World Cup knockout round win in Bay Area<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would like to thank the (Camden Police Department) investigators who stayed vigilant and continued to pursue justice for the victim and his family,\u201d Chief Jack Rushing said in the release.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>This was not the first time that Spells has been arrested, Kershaw County court records show.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Prior to Williams\u2019 death, Spells was arrested on Nov. 10, 2023, when he was charged with second-degree assault &amp; battery, according to court records.
