That\u2019s across the road from Lexington High School, and next door to a shopping center that is anchored by a Lowes Foods.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>An entry for a \u201cLexington West Walmart \u2014 Augusta Hwy\u201d at 2474 Augusta Highway is listed in the commercial projects and subdivisions section of the planning commission\u2019s July 2026 agenda packet. The Lexington County tax map ID number on the entry matches the address at 2474 Augusta Highway.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The planning commission paperwork also notes that stormwater management and sediment control fees were submitted in June for a project titled \u201cLexington West Walmart \u2014 Augusta Hwy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The state reached out to Walmart about the possibility of a new store along Augusta Highway.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=3144\">A Blythewood bridge will be closed for 2 weeks, 8-mile detour possible for some<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re always looking for opportunities to expand and better serve communities,\u201d a Walmart spokesperson said in a Monday evening email. \u201cWe have no additional information to share at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Augusta Highway near Lexington High School has recently gotten hot in terms of retail development. The area already includes a number of national retailers and restaurants including the aforementioned Lowes Foods, CVS pharmacy, McDonald\u2019s, Little Caesars, Starbucks, 7-Eleven, Arby\u2019s and more.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>And other big projects are on the way. The Victory Village shopping center is under construction in the 2500 block of Augusta Highway.
