That pattern is likely to continue through the next couple of days.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>A wildfire burning at the Francis Marion National Forest in Berkeley County grew 550 acres overnight, according to a press release from the U.S. Forest Service. Heavy smoke is clearly seen on satellite imagery from the NWS in Charleston, but the smoke plumes traveling north seem to dissipate as it nears Georgetown and Williamsburg County.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce you get beyond those counties, it\u2019s probably pretty hard to say that (the smell is) coming from this wildfire,\u201d Meteorologist Neil Dixon from the NWS in Charleston said.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=3460\">A new Columbia location is coming for this growing, popular restaurant chain<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<h2>Investigating the source of smoke in Horry County<\/h2>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Horry County Fire Rescue spokesperson Tony Casey said crews were dispatched to the Carolina Forest area to investigate a source of smoke Monday morning, but it\u2019s essentially \u201ca needle in a haystack.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Several brush fires that have occurred this year have not been naturally extinguished due to drought conditions and lack of rainfall, according to a Facebook post from Horry County Fire Rescue.
