Nancy Mace<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Michael Allen Irvin, 52, and Larry Todd Tucker Jr., 40, were charged with misconduct in office Monday, according to a news release.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>In Oct. 2024, both men \u2014 formerly sergeants with the department\u2014 conspired to obtain a search warrant for a residence by submitting false information in an affidavit that was submitted to a county magistrate judge, according to an affidavit by SLED.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Although the affidavit in question was drafted by Tucker, Irvin was listed as the affiant, or the person attesting to the sworn document.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=3535\">SC funeral for longtime U.S. Sen. Here\u2019s what to know<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The affidavit included the following, which investigators say was a lie: \u201cIn the last 72 hours a CI made a controlled drug purchase of methamphetamine from the residence of the defendant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Tucker and Irvin, therefore, are accused of \u201cwillfully and unlawfully\u201d failing to discharge their duties by submitting an affidavit \u2014 approved by the magistrate \u2014 \u201cthey knowingly prepared and presented\u201d as false, SLED\u2019s affidavit said.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Irvin and Tucker Jr. were booked into the Chesterfield County Detention Center.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney\u2019s General\u2019s Office, according to the release.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=3534\">Two sentenced in threatening life of SC\u2019s U.S. Rep.
