The Lexington County Sheriff\u2019s Department headquarters is located at 521 Gibson Road in Lexington.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Outpourings of support for Jillian Olson\u2019s family and her record of service have flooded social media since the 29-year-old\u2019s death, which remains under investigation.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur hearts are broken by the loss of a valuable member of the Sheriff\u2019s Department,\u201d Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said in a news release Friday morning. \u201cJillian exemplified commitment and service. She received several awards during her career, including Outstanding Judicial Services Deputy of the Year in 2023.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is leading the investigation into Olson\u2019s death, with assistance from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. The Lexington County Coroner\u2019s Office is currently investigating Olson\u2019s cause and manner of death, which has not yet been released.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cJillian\u2019s dedication to her community and department is well-documented with awards and recognitions,\u201d Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said. \u201cShe\u2019ll be most remembered for what she did with no fanfare.
