Here\u2019s where &amp; why<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Keaton Alexander Garcia, a 27-year-old Sumter resident, charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime for his role in the Sunday morning shooting, police said in a news release.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>At about 1:50 a.m., officers responded to a call about a shooting at a Pinewood Road convenience store, according to the release. Inside the store officers found a 24-year-old man who had been shot, police said.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, according to the release. Further information on the victim\u2019s condition was not available.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>No other injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Officers believe that Garcia and the victim were involved in a fight before the shooting, police said. He was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff\u2019s Office Detention Center, and remains locked up after bond was denied Monday, police said.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Despite the arrest, police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
