But she will not compete for the Miss USA title, Miss North Carolina USA CEO Thom Brodeur wrote in a Wednesday night statement.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Boltinhouse\u2019s conduct reflected not just one moment but a pattern \u201cover an extended period of time,\u201d Brodeur wrote. Brodeur did not specify how Boltinhouse violated Miss North Carolina USA policy but wrote that the organization \u201cdoes not tolerate racism, homophobia, transphobia nor language that strips any person of their dignity \u2014 no matter who they are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is not a policy written for a press release,\u201d Brodeur wrote. \u201cIt is the floor of what it means to represent the brand. A title here isn\u2019t a trinket.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Myla Hadley, the runner-up at Miss North Carolina USA 2026, now holds the title and will compete in Miami for the Miss USA crown from Aug. 24-27.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<h2>\u2018A title here isn\u2019t a trinket\u2019<\/h2>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>In his statement, Brodeur wrote that evidence of Boltinhouse\u2019s conduct was brought before the organization, and it acted as soon as it received the information. The News &amp; Observer has reached out to Boltinhouse to provide comment and asked A Blaize Productions, the license holder for Miss North Carolina USA, to explain what prompted the decision to replace Boltinhouse.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Boltinhouse was set to become the third Latina and first Honduran woman to represent North Carolina at Miss USA.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<h2>Who is Myla Hadley?<\/h2>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Hadley is a <u>business broker for Transworld Business Advisors<\/u> and the founder of herbal medicine company <u>Zenith House of Wellness<\/u>.
