Here\u2019s what to know about debate, early voting<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Local authorities told <i>NBC News<\/i> in a statement that they, \u201caccompanied by EMS personnel, responded to a report of an unresponsive female\u201d at around 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, August 16.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cUpon arrival, medical assistance was administered; however, the individual, later identified as Hayden Panettiere, was pronounced deceased at the scene,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe case is under investigation by the Greenville Police Department in conjunction with the Greenville County Coroner\u2019s Office. The preliminary investigation has not indicated any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. An acquaintance of Ms. Panettiere placed the 911 call,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Panettiere\u2019s representative confirmed the <i>Heroes<\/i> actress\u2019 death to <i>Us<\/i> in a statement on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. Sometimes that means having to do the hardest things in the world, for their sake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWlad is an incredible father, and I know he was doing what he felt was best for our daughter,\u201d Panettiere added. \u201cLiving on separate continents made our arrangement even more challenging. Despite how I felt, it was important to always put her first.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The actress said signing over custody to Klitschko was \u201cabsolutely one of the worst days of my life and will always be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>However, the <i>Nashville<\/i> alum said that lately she has had \u201can incredible relationship with both of them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m so grateful for Wlad. We\u2019re very close, and have had a deep friendship, along with a relationship, since I met him when I was 19,\u201d she said of her ex.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>As for Kaya, she added, \u201cShe\u2019s otherworldly and so kind and so fierce and surrounded by good people, and it\u2019s incredible for me to be able to watch her thrive in areas that I struggled with growing up.
