Who is running?<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>At about 3:15 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 1800 block of Frink Street after a Cayce woman who was walking in the area was struck by an unknown vehicle, police said Monday in a news release. That\u2019s in a part of Lexington County between U.S. 321 and the 12th Street Ext.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The pedestrian, who police said died because of the collision, has not been publicly identified by the Lexington County Coroner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Along with police, members of the South Carolina Highway Patrol and coroner\u2019s office are investigating the deadly wreck. That includes reviewing surveillance footage as well as collecting and analyzing evidence to identify the vehicle and driver involved, according to the release.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has information about it, is asked to call police at 803-550-9536, CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or <u>submit an online tip<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>In the case of an emergency, always call 911.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven information that may seem insignificant could help investigators piece together what happened,\u201d police said in the release.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=5230\">SC woman arrested for cashing in winning lottery tickets, SLED says. A minimum of 914 people were killed in collisions in South Carolina in 2025, DPS data shows.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>At least 18 people have died in Lexington County crashes this year, and 40 people died in wrecks there in 2025, according to DPS data.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur thoughts are first and foremost with the victim and her loved ones as they navigate this devastating loss,\u201d Cayce Police Chief Bruce Wade said in the release. \u201cOur investigators are working diligently to identify the vehicle and driver responsible.
