Drayton House at 25 East Battery overlooks Charleston Harbor and has six bedrooms and 11,367 square feet on a 0.31 acre lot.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It was built for Eliza Gantt Drayton and Charles H. Drayton, known as Phosphate Charlie, on the site of a Greek Revival-style house that was destroyed in the Civil War.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Drayton family owned the house for 80 years as well as a summer house in Flat Rock, North Carolina, and a country estate on the Ashley River Drayton Hall, which is now a museum.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The listing by Charles Sullivan of Carriage Properties says the house \u201cremains a timeless icon of the city\u2019s architectural heritage.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It is owned by Robert and Julie Honeycutt, who renovated the entire property over a two-year period after buying it for $7.1 million in 2022.<\/p>\n

The four-story house is made of block, brick and stucco and has a copper roof.<\/p>\n

The kitchen has a walk-in refrigerator, plus a separate, hidden commercial-grade kitchen, which includes a grill, smoker, deep-fryer, and commercial dishwasher, the listing says.<\/p>\n

There is a media room with a 163-inch digital wall with state-of-the-art audio which opens to a custom tiger onyx four-sided bar.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A glass elevator goes to the 2,200 square-foot primary suite that includes a spa said to rival an upscale hotel.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The harbor can be seen from multiple seating areas.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There is an office, pantry, sauna, study, sunroom and three fireplaces.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A balcony overlooks the harbor and Cooper River.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There are multiple outdoor sitting areas, including a patio outside the guest house and others overlooking the courtyard.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n
