{"id":73,"date":"2026-05-18T22:38:28","date_gmt":"2026-05-18T22:38:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=73"},"modified":"2026-05-18T22:38:28","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T22:38:28","slug":"man-charged-with-impersonating-police-officer-at-a-middle-school-in-lexington","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=73","title":{"rendered":"Man charged with impersonating police officer at a middle school in Lexington"},"content":{"rendered":"<article><!-- --><!-- --><!-- WPS-5038 -- removed the script from WPS and added the placeholder for trinity player --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- --><!-- CONTENT --><!--[--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>A Lexington man has been charged with impersonating law enforcement and carrying a firearm on school grounds.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=72\">Alex Murdaugh sues Becky Hill in federal court for jury tampering at SC murder trial<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The man \u2013 identified as 41-year-old Christopher Patrick Brewer \u2013 impersonated a law enforcement officer to enter Beechwood Middle School while carrying a personal handgun between 2022 and February 2026, according to the Lexington County Sheriff\u2019s Department.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Brewer was arrested at his home on May 15 and has been released on a personal recognizance bond.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Brewer was certified as a constable but has not served since 2019 according to SLED records, said Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Security camera video shows Brewer inside the school ground with his personally owned handgun, according to Koon.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/usmovingexpertss.com\/?p=70\">Road rage might have led to fire at gas station, Richland County sheriff says<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Lexington One School District issued a statement to parents and faculty that was also shared with The State.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Brewer \u201cwas not a random person seeking access to Beechwood Middle School,\u201d the district wrote in a statement to families shared with The State. \u201cHe is a parent who had legitimate reasons to be on campus at various times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Brewer was assumed to be law enforcement based on \u201chow he dressed, identification he carried, and the positions he stated to hold in conversations with school staff and School Resource Officers,\u201d the district wrote.
