A trendy, growing ice cream company plans a spot on Columbia’s Devine Street

A growing ice cream company known for its sundaes and delivery is planning a Columbia location.

The Scoop N Scootery, which has locations in several states, will bring a new location to 2418 Devine St., according to posts from the company on Instagram and TikTok. The Devine Street location would be just east of Five Points, a couple doors down from Il Giorgione restaurant.

“Brand new location in Columbia, South Carolina,” Scoop N Scootery Columbia said on Instagram. “That’s what I’m talkin about!! See you soon, Gamecock Nation.”

The Scoop N Scootery has locations in Massachusetts, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, New Jersey and Virginia, according to the company’s website.

The brand is known for its ice cream sundaes and late night delivery options. Among the offerings on its menu is the Demogorgon, which is chocolate ice cream with a brownie core, topped with Oreos, chocolate fudge and chocolate flakes.

The leafy Devine Street corridor remains one of Columbia’s trendiest commercial districts, lined with a number of restaurants, shops and other businesses. About 12,300 cars per day travel down Devine, per state Department of Transportation data.
