PGA cuts ties with Myrtle Beach tour sponsor. Will the 2027 event be impacted?

The PGA Tour is cutting ties with ONEflight International, best known in the Grand Strand as the Myrtle Beach PGA Tour’s titular sponsor, after the company was accused of using the golf event to prop up “the hallmark of a ponzi scheme.”

A PGA Tour official confirmed that, as of Oct. 15, the Colorado-based private jet company will no longer sponsor the Myrtle Beach tournament.

ONEflight International is facing three lawsuits alleging fraud and breaches of contract. The company announced last month it was pausing flight activity to “conduct a comprehensive evaluation of our current operations and status” while allegedly withholding at least $150 million from clients, according to the suits.

Myrtle Beach’s PGA Tour debuted in 2024, with ONEflight joining as a co-title sponsor in 2025. After repeated attempts to engage ONEflight International about its suspended operations and capabilities going forward, the PGA Tour cut the company as a partner.

Next year’s PGA event won’t be impacted by the separation from ONEflight International, organizers confirmed. The 2027 Myrtle Beach Classic will be held May 13 through 16 at Dunes Golf and Beach Club.

“Visit Myrtle Beach is excited to continue its sponsorship of the tournament in 2027 and looks forward to working with the PGA Tour, Dunes Golf and Beach Club, SportFive and the local community to build upon the success the event brings to our region,” Visit Myrtle Beach President Stuart Butler said in a statement.
