A man remains in critical condition following a shooting at an extended stay, according to the Columbia Police Department.

The shooting occurred Monday at Siegel Select Extended Stay Living, located at 150 Stoneridge Drive, according to a news release.
Once on scene, officers found a man with a gunshot wound to his upper body. EMS rendered aid to the man before transporting him to an area hospital, the release said.

Police are actively investigating the circumstances of the shooting and are searching for suspects, according to the release.
