One person was killed Saturday in a motorcycle crash on a Midlands road, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The single-vehicle collision happened at about 5:30 p.m. in Orangeburg County, said Master Trooper Hannah Davidson.
A 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was driving west on Bonner Avenue, according to Davidson. Near the intersection with Minerva Drive the Harley-Davidson ran off the left side of Bonner Avenue and spilled, Davidson said.
The driver, who was the only person riding the motorcycle, was taken to an area hospital and died there, according to Davidson.
The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office has not publicly identified the Harley-Davidson rider.

No other injuries were reported.
There was no word if the driver was wearing a helmet.
Information about what caused the Harley-Davidson to veer off the road was not available, but the wreck continues to be investigated by the Highway Patrol.
Through June 7, at least 363 people had died on South Carolina roads in 2026, according to the state Department of Public Safety. A minimum of 914 people were killed in collisions in South Carolina in 2025, DPS data shows.
At least 15 people have died in Orangeburg County crashes this year, and 31 people died in wrecks there in 2025, according to DPS data.
