Evans was last seen at about noon on Friday as she was leaving a Melvin Hill Road home, according to the release. That’s in the Campobello area of Spartanburg County, near Exit 5 on I-26, not far from the state line separating South Carolina and North Carolina.

There was no word if Evans was alone when she was last seen. The sheriff’s office did not say if foul play was suspected in Evans’ ongoing disappearance.

The sheriff’s office said that Evans suffers from mental illness and made statements indicating that she might harm herself. Further information about her condition was not available.
