The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting on Wednesday that left a man wounded in his lower body.

Deputies were called at 9 p.m. about the shooting. The man was in a vehicle on the way to hospital but pulled over into the Food Lion parking lot on Broad River Road.
The man had a gunshot wound to his lower body. Deputies gave aid until EMS arrived to transport the man to a hospital.
