$1 million-plus in damages caused to business & three people wanted, SC cops say

A search is underway for three people who are accused of breaking in to a warehouse in South Carolina and causing more than $1 million in damages, according to the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.

On June 1, deputies responded to a report of a break-in at a warehouse on Cameron Road, the sheriff’s office said in a Wednesday news release.

The property owner told deputies that someone used a forklift to cause damage to the roof, and they also damaged the main breaker, according to the release.

The sheriff’s office said that damages are estimated to cost $1,185,000.

There was no word about a motive for the break-in and vandalism, or if anything was stolen from the warehouse.

Information about the people responsible for the break-in and damages was not available, but the sheriff’s office said that surveillance footage shows two men and a woman who was driving a black SUV were involved.

Anyone with information about the three people, or the break-in, is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 803-534-3550, or 839-237-5658.

In the case of an emergency, always call 911.

“If you have any idea whatsoever as to who these three are, call us,” Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said in the release. “If you have even the slightest thought of who they are, call us.”
