The Oaklawn Road bridge needs repair to bridge piles to improve the bridge’s durability and provide a longer-lasting structure for drivers, DOT said.

The reason for the Latimer Mill Road closing was not announced.

“Officials are working on an expedited repair plan and have not yet given an estimate for when the bridge will reopen,” DOT said in a new release.
