Addam’s Gamecock Gear, which has been located at 152 S. Assembly St. for years, is moving to 740 Gervais St. suite 150 in the popular Vista district. A grand opening celebration at the Gervais Street location will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 1, the Congaree Vista Guild said in a release.
“Addam’s Gamecock Gear is the perfect addition to the Vista,” Congaree Vista Guild Executive Director Abby Anderson said in a statement. “With our proximity to USC and all the athletic venues, Gamecock fans will now have a place to grab some dinner and some gear before they head to the game.”
The new Addam’s store will be located in the space right behind the elegant Sylvan’s Jewelers. The jeweler relocated to 740 Gervais St. 2025 after decades on Main Street. The long, brick building was formerly home to the South Carolina Railroad Depot

The USC pep band will provide entertainment at the Aug. 1 Addam’s ribbon cutting and grand opening, the Vista Guild said in its release.
“We are excited to be part of a community and share this new space with the Gamecock Nation,” Addam’s Gamecock Gear said in the release. “Addam’s is more than a store — it is now an experience, a destination, and a must-see when visiting Columbia. We hope the community will join us for the festivities and get in the spirit of the upcoming season, and of course, grab some new gear!”
The Addam’s move comes as USC sports conversation, both off and on the field, begins its annual late summer ramp-up. The Gamecocks recently switched from Under Armour to Nike for its main apparel provider, sending fans streaming to the local stores this month to get new gear. The USC football team, meanwhile, will look to bounce back in 2026 after a disappointing 4-8 campaign in 2025. The Gamecocks will open the season Sept. 5 at Williams-Brice Stadium against Kent State.
