The closures are connected to an interchange improvement project that will begin on Monday, Aug. 3, according to a news release.
Motorists in the area should expect lane closures on the east and westbound lanes of I-26 until Sunday, Aug. 9, the release said.

The department encourages drivers to slow down and pay attention to crews when travelling through the work zone.
