But where’s the best place to get some ice cream in Columbia, out of the dozens of shops in the city?
To find out, The State created a new poll and wants you to vote for your favorite joint — the one that makes you keep coming back for more. Here’s how it will work:

We selected 20 ice cream shops in the Columbia area, from family-owned shops to popular chains. There’s a little something for everyone in this poll.

This is not an exhaustive, comprehensive list of every place that serves ice cream in the city. Rather, it’s a wide-ranging selection representing the variety our city offers. Additionally, all options are listed alphabetically.
The poll will end on Sunday, Aug. 23, at 11:59 p.m., and the winner will be announced on Tuesday, Aug. 25. If you have more than one favorite ice cream shop, you can vote multiple times. All you have to do is refresh this webpage and choose another option on the poll.
