It’s Election Day in South Carolina, again, and voters will choose their Republican nominee to replace the late Lindsey Graham on the November ballot.

U.S. Sen. Darline Graham and U.S. Rep. Ralph Norman are running to represent South Carolina in the U.S. Senate.
It’s the fourth Republican primary election this summer. Tuesday’s winner will face Democratic nominee Annie Andrews in November.
Voting locations are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day. Some locations have been moved or combined for the special primary, and residents have been encouraged to check their most updated voting spots on the Election Commission’s website.
Only registered voters who did not participate in the Democratic Party primary in June can vote in the special U.S. Senate runoff.

The 10 candidates competing for the GOP nomination whittled down to two after the special primary on Aug. 11: Graham and Norman.

Graham, 62, led the state Commission for the Blind for seven years before the sudden death of her older brother, Lindsey Graham. She was appointed to finish out the rest of her late brother’s term, which ends in January 2027.
She decided to run for a full term at the urging of President Donald Trump, who endorsed her, Graham told reporters.
She finished first in the special primary with nearly 33% of votes. She led in the Midlands and Lowcountry and finished second behind U.S. Rep. Russell Fry in counties in the Grand Strand and Pee Dee, according to Election Commission results.
Norman, 73, has represented the 5th Congressional District in the U.S. House since 2017. He ran for governor earlier this year but finished third in the June primary. The congressman is also a member of the hard right U.S. House Freedom Caucus.
Norman finished second in the special primary with nearly 25% of votes and picked up support in the Upstate, including Greenville, Spartanburg and his home York County.
