A growing regional convenience store chain known for its food offerings has debuted a new spot in a busy area of Lexington.

Parker’s Kitchen recently opened its location at 1367 N. Lake Drive in Lexington, at the corner of Pilgrim Church Road and North Lake Drive. That’s south of Lake Murray, right across the road from Wingard’s Market.
Banners touting that the new North Lake Drive store is open fluttered in the breeze by the roadway Friday morning when a reporter briefly went by. The store was busy, with customers getting gasoline and lining up for breakfast plates and sandwiches. A large sign above a drink cooler heralded “28° Cold Beer.”
Parker’s is a well-known convenience store brand in coastal South Carolina and Georgia, as well as in the Augusta area, with more than 100 stores in total.

It is known for all the convenience store staples — gasoline, snacks, etc. — but also for having a number of hot food items in its kitchens. That includes breakfast items such as fish and grits, biscuits and gravy, biscuit sandwiches and more, as well as lunch items including chicken tenders and sandwiches, pork chops and fried fish.
The company is in the midst of developing several stores in the Midlands area, including on Garners Ferry Road in Columbia, on Earth Road in Elgin near northeast Columbia, on Augusta Highway near Lexington High School, and at 5387 Augusta Road near downtown Lexington.
The new North Lake Drive location is along a busy road just south of Lake Murray. About 30,000 cars per day travel down North Lake Drive, per state Department of Transportation statistics.
