Yshay Fuller, 33, a teacher at Caughman Road Elementary School, was arrested, Sheriff Leon Lott announced.

On May 10, deputies responded to a call for service regarding a runaway juvenile being held at Fuller’s residence, and she was “not forthcoming” about information she had about the juvenile and their whereabouts, officials said.

A Richland 1 spokesperson acknowledged the arrest, and said that Caughman Road families were notified. The district directed further questions to the sheriff’s department.

Fuller was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, obstructing justice and neglect by a legal guardian on May 19, following an investigation. She was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center and given a $20,000 bond.

The sheriff’s department said the crimes Fuller is accused of were not related to her job at Caughman Road Elementary.
