Birdi Box, an indoor golf simulator club, recently opened its doors at 5357 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington. That’s near the Topspin Racquet Club, behind the Topspin Plaza that’s home to El Jimador, Bellacino’s and a number of other businesses.
Birdi Box is a members only club, the company said in a release, with three simulator bays available. The bays are open 24/7 for members to book. Each bay is “powered by Uneekor EYE XO2 launch monitors, which capture 24 data points on every swing, alongside high-speed Swing Optix cameras, 4K projection, and GSPro virtual golf software,” Birdi Box said in its release, adding that golfers can have practice sessions or have a full virtual round on “world class” courses.
“There are a lot of people in Lexington who love golf but don’t love everything that comes with it,” Birdi Box co-founder Brett Vigrass said in the release. “The five-hour commitment, the weather, the feeling that everyone’s watching. We built Birdi Box so you can get real work done on your game in the time you actually have. You don’t have to be good at golf to enjoy this place. You just have to want to play.”

The release noted members can access a “comprehensive library of real and fantasy courses, including iconic greens seen on the Tour, alongside local favorites like the Country Club of Lexington and Golden Hills.”

The new indoor golf club is just off a bustling commercial stretch of Lexington. About 45,000 cars per day travel down Sunset Boulevard, per state Department of Transportation data, making it one of the busiest non-interstate roadways in the Midlands.
