A shooting at a Midlands motel has left at least one person injured, according to the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies are actively investigating the shooting after responding to the Crown Inn on Bamberg Road around 10 a.m. Saturday, where they located a 43-year-old hit by gunfire.

The identity and condition of the victim has not yet been released.
“We’re in the early stages of the investigation,“ Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said in a news release. “But as more information becomes available, we’ll release that.”
