Kids can bring in a drawing or craft. They can sing a song or do a dance. Owner Tre Dabney said that no piece of art is refused.
The store will also have holiday specials including vanilla cake donuts, red velvet donuts and apple cider Buttnuggets.
Customers on Facebook are also excited for the chance to win a special edition “Oreo the Cat” mug in a raffle held on Friday.
Who is Oreo the Cat?
Oreo, a chubby black and white cat, went viral internationally for simply sitting outside of Chickenbutt Donuts in December 2023.
When the shop initially opened, there was a feral cat colony outside, Dabney said. Oreo was adopted by a family next door, but he never stopped coming by Chickenbutt.
Owners Sue and Tre Dabney began to make posts about Oreo as he waited patiently every morning to be fed one of Chickenbutt’s best-selling maple bacon donuts.
It wasn’t long before he went viral, Dabney said.
Three years later, Oreo, who is now “overfed,” is still being picked up by newspapers and magazines across the world including in Indonesia, Brazil, China and Japan. He was also featured on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Season four Episode 124.
“Every time we think it is done, we see him somewhere else,” Dabney said.
“He has been one of the single biggest drivers of interest in our business,” Dabney said. “His popularity doesn’t show any sign of changing.”
