At 270 West Third Street, Big Dog Barbershop opened on June 6. The shop is billed as an “old school” experience with a traditional, classic feel in a news release from Joel Gordon, a local restaurant owner and representative of the Greater Swansea Business Association.
Big Dog Barbershop is owned and operated by Zach Sharpe, a Swansea native who has served as a school resource officer with the town’s police department and a patrol officer in Calhoun County, according to the release. Sharpe is also a musician, releasing music under the name Sabin Sharpe.
The business will be holding a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremonies in collaboration with Swansea’s local government on June 27.
