A search is underway in South Carolina for a missing infant who might be in danger.

Jolly Houser was reported missing Monday by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. The 6-month-old hasn’t been seen for a week, the sheriff’s department said in a news release.
The baby was last seen July 16 with her mother, 38-year-old Crystal Houser, according to the release. The baby was last seen in the 8500 block of Bluff Road, the sheriff’s department said. That’s in the Hopkins area of Richland County, near Congaree National Park.
The sheriff’s department said that it believes that Crystal Houser took the child from the location and fled.
Jolly Houser might be in danger, according to the release. The sheriff’s department did not specify why it believes the baby could be in danger, and did not say if any alerts have been issued.

Anyone who sees Crystal or Jolly Houser, or has information about them, is asked to immediately call 911.
