But which fast food restaurant serves the best breakfast? To determine this, USA Today asked its readers to vote for their go-to location to get breakfast in 2026. This is a part of their annual USA Today Reader’s Choice 10Best contest.

Once the votes were cast, the media company released the ranking of the top 10 restaurants in the country for fast-food breakfast. The reader’s top choice is only found in three states, including South Carolina.

Best breakfast chain in SC

USA Today’s readers voted Biscuitville as the best fast food restaurant that serves breakfast in the country.

The family-owned fast food chain is headquartered in North Carolina, but has dozens of locations throughout NC, SC and Virginia. There are 10 locations in SC, and there’s one location in Columbia.

They specialize in Southern-style breakfast and make their dishes with locally sourced ingredients, according to their website. Every biscuit is made from scratch and is cooked every 15 minutes, making it faster to serve their customers.

“With breakfast platters and sides of grits, hash browns, or country gravy, plus indulgent sweet treats like their blueberry muffin, it’s no wonder folks return again and again,” said USA Today.

The Columbia location is located at 2715 Clemson Rd, Columbia, SC 29229. There is another location in Irmo at 10605 Broad River Rd, Irmo, SC 292063.
