Two products sold to South Carolina grocery stores have been recalled.
Amy’s Kitchen recalled organic lentil light soup and Pillsbury recalled two varieties of bread rolls sold to Walmart bakeries.

The voluntary recall of Amy’s Kitchen soup was due a defect with the can’s pull tab, leading to the possibility of spoilage, the company said.
The recall affected more than 184,000 cans of soup, distributed to 28 states. In addition to South Carolina, they are Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. Parts of Canada also received some of the defective cans, the Food and Drug Administration said.
The recall was initiated on June 22.
“The defect could cause the product to spoil, and the decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the quality and safety of our products,” the spokesperson said.
The FDA said two Pillsbury products sold to Walmart bakeries in 19 states were recalled due to possible foreign material contamination, specifically glass.

Pillsbury Bread Rolls, Hard Dough and Kaiser Roll Dough were to be baked by retailers, not sold directly to consumers.
The recall began June 19 of over 4,000 cases of dough. Any baked products from these lots were pulled from shelves, the FDA said.
Walmart stores in these states received the product: Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wyoming.
On July 13, the FDA classified this as a Class II recall, meaning consuming the product “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.”

There have been no reported cases of harm or illness from the contamination.
