A recent undercover operation at a massage parlor in South Carolina led to a woman being charged with a sex crime, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.

Wen Hsiang Li, 57-year-old Warrenville resident, was charged with prostitution (first offense) following Tuesday’s undercover sting, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Hsiang Li’s an employee at the Health Spa Massage Parlor, at 2541 Jefferson Davis Highway, according to the release. That’s in a strip mall in the Warrenville area of Aiken County.
The undercover operation was initiated following several complaints of illegal criminal activity at the business, the sheriff’s office said. After the undercover operative’s investigation, deputies then searched the business, according to the release.

In addition to the arrest, deputies also discovered that the business did not hold a massage therapy establishment license, the sheriff’s office said. There was no word about what punishment the business owner could face.
Hsiang Li was booked into the Aiken County Detention Center, according to the release. A $465 personal recognizance bond was set and posted Wednesday, Aiken County court records show. Hsiang Li is scheduled to return to court Aug. 31, according to judicial records.
