Hickory Tavern has closed its location at 907 Senate St. in Columbia’s Vista district. The Vista location, which opened in 2014, was one of four Hickory Tavern restaurants that have recently closed, as reported Monday by The Charlotte Observer. The other three recent closures were in the Charlotte area.

The Vista Hickory Tavern also is listed as “permanently closed” on Google.

“While never an easy decision, it is important that we regularly evaluate where we can operate more efficiently so our resources and future investments are directed toward the priorities that will best serve our teams and guests,” Bryan Lockwood, CEO of Artistry Restaurants, said in a release about the closures, cited by The Charlotte Observer.
