A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the alleged theft of approximately $80,000 worth of equipment and materials from Duke Energy property in Florence County, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.

Brian Alexander Player, 37, of Florence, was arrested Sept. 4 and charged with third-degree burglary and grand larceny, according to a news release.
Investigators said Player, Richard Earl Jackson and Charles Leroy McGee Jr. entered a Duke Energy property located on Mechanicsville Highway between Aug. 10 and Aug. 25, and stole a boat, copper-wire reels, batteries and other items.
The stolen property was found on North Tobin Drive during a search-warrant execution, the release said.

McGee, 30, was arrested Aug. 25 and faces additional charges including transporting stolen nonferrous metals and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Jackson, 53, was arrested Sept. 3 and charged with third-degree burglary and grand larceny.
McGee and Jackson are being held at the Florence County Detention Center, where Jackson awaits a bond hearing.
