The Greer purchase is especially important since time is running out to claim the $200,000 prize. The ticket was bought on March 25 at Spinx #128 at 498 The Parkway and it will expire Sept. 21.
Players have 180 days from the ticket’s draw date to claim their prize, Holli Armstrong, SC Education Lottery spokesperson, said.
“Six-figure prizes like this do not go unclaimed often,” she said.
It happened so far once this year.
A $100,000 winner expired on March 5. It was bought at the Cheapway on Shop Road in Columbia amid the jackpot climbing to $1 billion a year ago.
Someone bought a ticket for Saturday’s Powerball drawing at Publix Super Markets Inc. #1671 at 115 Rochester Highway in Seneca, added Double Play and won $500,000.

Double Play is an additional $1 and gives the player another chance to match their Powerball® numbers in a separate drawing after the Powerball drawing. Top prize is $10 million.
The Seneca ticket matched all five ball numbers drawn and missed the red Powerball® number at odds of 1 in 11,688,054.
Nobody won the jackpot money, so Wednesday’s drawing will be $271 million — cash payout $115.1 million. Someone in Ohio won $2 million on Monday and someone in Georgia won $1 million.
