The parent of a high school student in the Midlands was arrested after allegedly instigating a fight between several students, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Erianna Salmond, 38, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor after a brawl broke out at Blythewood High School between four female students Friday morning, according to a news release.

Investigators determined that Salmond, the mother of one of the females involved in the fight, was responsible for allegedly inciting the altercation, the release said.

She was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
The fight remains under investigation, according to the release.
