Dutch Bros Coffee, which has locations across the U.S. and a burgeoning profile in the Midlands, will bring a location to 2239 Sunset Blvd. in West Columbia. That’s next to the Sunset Court shopping plaza that includes a Groucho’s Deli, Mai Thai restaurant and other businesses. It’s about a mile east of Lexington Medical Center’s campus and Interstate 26.
Construction is happening at the site at 2239 Sunset Blvd., and there is a Dutch Bros banner posted there that says the coffee chain is “stoked to see you soon.” Lexington County property tax records show the site is owned by West Columbia – Sunset DB LLC.
An opening date for the in-the-works Dutch Bros has not been publicly announced. The spot along Sunset Boulevard is along a high-traffic area, with nearly 30,000 cars per day traversing the corridor, per state Department of Transportation stats.
Dutch Bros, which has 1,000 locations across the U.S., has made a powerful swing into the Midlands this year.

Four new Midlands Dutch Bros drive-thrus opened after the chain acquired Clutch Coffee Co. in January, converting shops at 9349 Two Notch Road and 4716 Devine St. in Columbia, 308 Columbia Ave. in Lexington, and 1511 Lake Murray Blvd. in Irmo.
A new Columbia Dutch Bros location at 7001 Garners Ferry Road, just south of the Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center, opened its doors on June 19.
Also in Irmo, Dutch Bros built a shop at 10603 Broad River Road between a Wendy’s and a Biscuitville. The chain also is planning a Lexington location at 5211 Sunset Blvd. next to the Lidl supermarket, as well as a spot at the coming Target-anchored Victory Village shopping center on the Augusta Highway in Lexington.
