A new traffic pattern is coming to Lexington County, according to the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

The new pattern will be installed for the U.S. 21 bridge over Congaree Creek on Thursday, according to a news release.

Two northbound lanes on U.S. 21 will shift onto a newly constructed bridge while the single southbound lane will remain as is, the release said.

The bridge construction is expected to be completed in 2027, according to the release.
