An Army medic from Apex, North Carolina, died during a training accident at Fort Hood in Texas, according to the U.S. Army.

Private First Class Ethan Brewer enlisted in 2025 and arrived at Fort Hood in early 2026, officials said.
Brewer “died Sept. 14 following a vehicle rollover involving a (Humvee) Front Line Ambulance during training at Fort Hood,” the U.S. Army said in a Sept. 16 news release.
“Another soldier injured in the rollover has been released from the hospital,” the Army said.
The U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center is investigating the accident.
Brewer was a medic assigned to the 1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division Artillery Brigade. He had been awarded the Army Achievement Medal in the past year. He was 20 years old, according to Army Times.

“Our team is extremely saddened by the loss of Pfc. Brewer. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, loved ones, and fellow troopers,” 1st Cavalry Division Artillery Brigade Commander Col. Nathan Adkins said in the release.
“We will remember Ethan for the soldier, teammate, and friend that he was. We are forever grateful for his commitment to serve our nation and for the impact he made on those who served alongside him.”
Fort Hood is a 214,968-acre installation about a 150-mile drive southwest from Fort Worth.
