Two women believed to be in their 20s were found shot to death in an apartment on Greenville’s Eastside Monday.

Greenville Police and Greenville County Coroner’s Office are investigating and as of Monday afternoon had not released their names.
An autopsy will be conducted Tuesday, Coroner Mike Ellis said.
Authorities were called by concerned family members. The women had not been seen since late Saturday or early Sunday, Ellis said.
“It is extremely difficult when you’ve got two young females that are deceased,” Ellis said. “We want to try and answer as many questions as we possibly can for both families who were involved; that’s also part of the investigation.”

He would not speculate on whether the deaths were the result of a homicide or murder/suicide.
The women were found in an upscale condominium development near the Publix at Pelham shopping center where apartments rent for about $1,200 a month.
