There’s a new Miss South Carolina 2026. Here’s who won

Miss Charleston Lindsay Jones is the new Miss South Carolina.

A 25-year-old national sales manager at Stanley Black & Decker, Jones chose as her talent to tell the story of how she rose to cover a $200 million territory with more than 150 Home Depot, Lowes and Tractor Supply Accounts.

She dressed in work clothes to tell about how she was not taken seriously as a sales professional and instead told she should probably work in human resources.

She said she had two choices — step aside or step up. And her parting words to those who doubted her were “watch me.”

She hopes to earn a Master of Business Administration and a Doctorate in Business and become a professor.

Her platform is The Moment for Mentorship: Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

On her interview sheet she said some interesting facts about her are she’s never had a soft drink in her life, manages over 100 dog walking clients from her pet sitting business and read 60+ books in 2025.

She also likes to knit, a hobby she learned from her grandmother as they knitted throws for hospital patients.

Last year, she hosted pilates events for 750+ women in four states, including South Carolina.

Three items she’d like to accomplish in the next five years are learn Spanish, visit all 50 states (she’s been to three-quarters of them already) and run the Walt Disney World Marathon in Paris.

She said on her website she is a “pageant girl, influencer, and content creator living in Charleston. Originally from Maryland, I took a leap of faith and moved to the South in Fall of 2023, and I’ve loved every moment since.”

1st runner up was Miss Clemson Jenna Huggins, 2nd Miss All America City Jules Lemonds, 3rd Miss Newberry Liliana Fogle, and 4th Miss Spartanburg Abigail Kate Fowler.

The Miss South Carolina Organization handed out $280,000 in scholarships this week during the pageant held at Township Auditorium.

Former Miss South Carolinas Morgan Nichols Scarnecchia (2018) and Jada Samuel (2023) served as hosts.

Jones will compete in Miss America in West Palm Beach in September.

Named Friday night was Miss South Carolina’s Teen 2026 Logan Wells, a Heathwood Hall student who wants to be a neurosurgeon.

She will compete in the Miss America’s Teen competition, held in West Palm Beach the same week as Miss America.
