Rally House, which has locations in or near college towns across the U.S., will bring a location to 152 Assembly St. in Columbia. There are posters in the windows at the address saying that Rally House is “coming soon” and there is a Rally House sign on the roadside marquee. An Assembly Street Rally House also is listed as “coming soon” on the company’s website.
The 152 Assembly St. address is likely familiar to some Gamecocks fans, as it formerly was home to an Addam’s Gamecock Gear location. Addam’s Gamecock Gear recently moved to 740 Gervais St. suite 150 in Columbia’s popular Vista District. It opened the Vista store on Aug. 1.
As for Rally House, the Assembly Street spot would be its second location in Columbia. The company opened a store on Harden Street in Five Points back in April.
Headquartered in Kansas, there are more than 300 Rally House stores across the U.S. The shops typically offer apparel and gifts for professional and college sports teams, and are usually heavily themed to the teams of the town they are in.

There has been much movement and activity in the realm of USC fan apparel and stores in the Midlands in recent times.
For instance, USC recently switched from Under Armour to Nike for its key apparel provider. The change sent fans scrambling to stores such as Gamecock Traditions, Addam’s and elsewhere in early July as folks looked to stock up on the latest Nike Gamecock items.
And new stores specializing in Gamecock gear continue to proliferate. Aside from the aforementioned Rally House locations and the Addam’s move, recent weeks also have seen the announcement that an Alumni Hall USC store is planned for the ground floor of the WestLawn Building, next door to Methodical Coffee, in the BullStreet District.
Meanwhile, Miss Cocky, which is known for offering Gamecock fashions and accessories for women, announced it will soon be opening a new boutique at 1812 Augusta Highway in Lexington. It will mark Miss Cocky’s third Midlands location, following spots on Main Street in downtown Columbia and in Chapin.
