The suspicious death of a woman has spurred an investigation by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

The woman, who has not yet been identified, was found Friday around 12:50 p.m. on the 1900 block of English Avenue, according to a news release. Deputies responded to the scene after receiving a call about an unresponsive female.
After deputies secured the scene, EMS arrived and pronounced the woman dead, the release said.
