And for the last few decades, it has been part of a group that creates corn mazes in the likeness of stars like Reba McIntyre and comics like Peanuts and Scooby Doo.

This year’s theme is Dolly Parton, a production that’s been in the works since February.

“We of course had no idea the Lord was going to call her home,” Angie Stewart Broome said Friday, the day before opening day for the maze on the 70-acre Stewart Farm.

It is one of 20 farms across North America participating in the Dolly-themed corn maze, and a portion of the proceeds will go to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Seen from above, the maze looks like Parton. From the ground it looks like rows of corn, which sometimes stymies people.

Don’t cross the ‘corn cops’

Broom says if someone hasn’t come out in an hour and a half, they send the corn cops in to find them.

They also check the parking lot each day to make sure all the cars belong to them. She’s just kidding.

The corn cops also have corn cuffs, which could be employed for breaking the rules like no alcohol, drugs or profanity. Also, no throwing corn cobs.

Family friendly maze

It’s a smallish maze by maze standards so it’s meant for families with kids younger than 10, Broom said.

Usually 8,000 to 10,000 people show up for the maze. This is their 26th year doing corn mazes.

This year there is also Dolly-themed trivia, photo opportunities, a U-pick pumpkin patch and a mile-long wagon ride around the farm.

The Dolly Parton Corn Maze at Stewart Farms’ Fall on the Farm 2026 runs from Sept. 26 through Oct. 31.
